Indiana Members Foundation (IMF)
Indiana Members Foundation was organized in 2010, exclusively for the purpose of being a positive influence in
the communities served by Indiana Members Credit Union (IMCU); specifically, providing school children in these
communities with the necessities essential for learning and succeeding in their education.
Key Contributions:
- One of the primary programs of IMF is to supply backpacks for local underprivileged children. IMF hasprovided 54,000 backpacks to area students.
- IMCU members have contributed nearly 1 million school supplies to area schools through branch collections.
- 3,800 School uniforms have been provided to area schools.
- 3,000 books have been donated (Salvation Army’s Ruth Lily Women & Children’s Center).
- $87,000 in grants has been provided from three different grant programs.
- $126,000 in scholarships has been awarded from the Robert E. Martin Scholarship fund.
Additional community involvement:
- Franciscan Health Foundation – IMCU has provided over $150,000 in support in the several decades ofpartnership with the foundation.
- IMF offers Canvas for a Cause group painting classes as a fundraiser for charities that might not fit the IMFcontribution guidelines. IMF has helped over 80 organizations raise nearly $70,000.
- IMF supplies a monthly lunch for Ronald McDonald House guests, served by IMCU employees.IMCU employees deliver for Meals on Wheels twice a month.
- 20.5 tons of food provided to local food pantries since 2010.
- $78,000 in Friday Employee Jeans Days contributed to local charities since 2016.
- IMCU employees volunteer over 15,000 hours annually in the communities where they live and work.
- Room sponsor of the new St. Vincent Education and Simulation Center.
- Annual sponsor of The Chin Community Center and Chin National Day.
